Serving for a Purpose: How Community Came Together for “Serve for Scott”

Updated: Apr 15

Community, connection, and purpose were on full display as 2 End The Stigma hosted its Serve for Scott Pickleball Tournament, bringing people together for more than just a game.

This special event, held in honor of Scott Zebrowski, created a space where individuals of all backgrounds could rally together—not only for friendly competition, but for a cause that continues to impact families across the country. The tournament welcomed participants of all skill levels, reinforcing the idea that everyone has a role to play in raising awareness and supporting those affected by substance use disorder.

But this event was about more than pickleball.

It was about creating conversations.

It was about building community.

And most importantly, it was about continuing a mission rooted in love, loss, and legacy.

Each serve, each match, and each moment shared throughout the day contributed to a larger purpose—supporting prevention education, outreach efforts, and resources for individuals and families navigating substance use disorder. Events like Serve for Scott reflect the heart of what 2 End The Stigma stands for: breaking barriers, building connections, and ensuring that no one has to face this journey alone.

The energy throughout the tournament was a powerful reminder that healing and awareness can exist in spaces of joy, activity, and togetherness. Whether participants came to compete or simply to support, the impact was felt far beyond the court.

As we continue to grow, initiatives like Serve for Scott highlight the importance of meeting people where they are—through community events that inspire action, encourage dialogue, and create lasting change.

Because at the end of the day, this mission is bigger than any one event.

It’s about saving lives.

All for Scott.
