2ETS, alongside the Silent No More Team, had an incredible experience presenting at the Community Coalitions of Virginia (CCoVA) Conference in Roanoke, VA. This conference brought together a diverse group of organizations from both large and small, urban and rural communities, all dedicated to preventing and reducing substance use-related risk factors in Virginia. It’s always a privilege to be part of such an important event where we can connect with others who are committed to improving the quality of life in their communities.

CCoVA is a vital network of coalitions working collaboratively to tackle substance use disorder and its associated stigmas. At the conference, we had the opportunity to share insights, learn from others, and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations who are focused on prevention education and providing essential resources to those who need it most.

The Silent No More Team, which includes Kim Ulmet, Silent No More Program Coordinator, Dr. Denise Lester, MD, FASAM, Olivia Emerson, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, DEA Agent DeAndra Lee, and Chelsea Curtis, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District, has become an invaluable partner in our shared mission to spread education and awareness across the state.

Together, we are working to break down the barriers of stigma surrounding substance use disorder and reach middle and high school students with critical prevention education. By joining forces with CCoVA and the Silent No More Team, we are proud to contribute to the ongoing effort to make a lasting impact in Virginia’s communities.
