It was both an honor and a powerful step forward for 2 End The Stigma as our Founder and CEO, Jill Cichowicz, sat down with leadership from the Drug Enforcement Administration, including Administrator Terry Cole. The conversation reflected not only the growth of our organization, but the urgency of the work still ahead.

During this meaningful discussion, we explored how nonprofits like 2 End The

Stigma can continue to work alongside national agencies to create real impact in addressing substance use disorder. Family-led organizations were at the heart of the conversation—because this work is deeply personal.

Behind every initiative, every event, and every conversation are families carrying unimaginable loss. Parents, siblings, and loved ones who show up each day not for recognition, but with one goal in mind: to ensure no other family has to receive that devastating phone call. This mission is not easy—it is emotionally and physically demanding—but it is fueled by love, resilience, and purpose.

In addition to meeting with the DEA, our team also connected with leadership from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, including Victor Avila and Roneet Lev. These conversations further strengthened our commitment to building national partnerships that drive awareness, prevention, and access to resources.

We are also incredibly grateful for the continued collaboration with VOID Victims Of Illicit Drugs and Jaime Puerta, as well as the powerful voice of recovery advocate Tom Wolf, whose story continues to inspire action and hope.

While these meetings were productive, we recognize that the journey ahead is long. But with every conversation, every partnership, and every step forward, we are building momentum.

Together, we will continue this fight—for awareness, for prevention, and for every life impacted by substance use disorder.
