Raising awareness starts with conversation—and on February 11, 2 End The Stigma had the opportunity to bring that conversation to a broader audience.
Our Silent No More Team was honored to be featured on Virginia This Morning on WTVR-TV CBS 6, where we spoke about the urgent need for prevention education and community outreach in addressing substance use disorder.
This appearance was more than just a segment—it was a moment to amplify a message that needs to be heard everywhere: we must continue to talk openly about mental health, substance use disorder, and the growing dangers associated with fentanyl, marijuana, and other illicit drugs.
Silence creates stigma. Conversation creates change.
Through our work, we aim to educate individuals, families, and communities about the realities of today’s drug landscape—especially the presence of fentanyl and its devastating impact. These conversations are not always easy, but they are necessary to prevent loss and save lives.
The segment also gave us the opportunity to highlight the impact 2 End The Stigma continues to make within the community, as well as share excitement for one of our most meaningful events of the year—our upcoming 9th Annual A Night For Scott (Cupid Ball).
Moments like this remind us that awareness is a powerful tool. When we show up, speak out, and stand together, we create pathways to education, prevention, and hope.
It was truly a fantastic day, and we are grateful for platforms like Virginia This Morning that allow us to extend our reach and deepen our impact.
