With our mission centering on teens and young adults, we are always thrilled to witness their growing curiosity, interest, and active involvement in offering hope for the opioid crisis. Recently, Trinity Episcopla School senior, Dylan Friedman contacted us to learn more about our organization, it’s roots, mission, and impact, so that he could create a presentation for the students at his school.
We were moved by his inquisitiveness, hard work, and professionalism he demonstrated throughout the entire process. Dylan even joined us at the Chesterfield Recovery Academy to get a firsthand understanding of the challenges students his age face as they work to complete their high school education while navigating the journey of recovery. He did a wonderful job with his presentation at Trinity, which included a Naloxone training by Benjamin Carr from CARITAS.
Great job Dylan, you are helping to open the dialogue and spread the awareness which helps to chip away at the stigma surrounding substance use disorder!
