Shining a Light on the Opioid Crisis: BBC News Documentary Featuring Our CEO and Chesterfield Recovery Academy Students

We are incredibly proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Jill Cichowicz, was recently featured in a powerful BBC News documentary highlighting the devastating impact of the fentanyl crisis across the United States.

As part of this important project, Jill extended an invitation to the courageous students at Chesterfield Recovery Academy, giving them a platform to share their personal stories. These young individuals spoke with raw honesty, and their words—and the emotion behind them—paint a sobering picture of the opioid epidemic that continues to devastate families and communities nationwide.

We applaud Jill and these incredible students for their bravery. You can hear the pain in their voices and see the sadness in their eyes—but you can also feel their strength and determination to be part of the solution.

We are also deeply grateful to Acting DEA Administrator Derek Maltz, who contributed to the documentary by shedding light on the harsh realities of this crisis and the urgent need for collective action.

This documentary is more than just a film—it’s a call to awareness, education, and compassion. We urge you to take a few moments to watch it, reflect on its message, and—most importantly—share it with your children and loved ones.

Together, we can continue to #EndTheStigma and create a future where recovery is possible and every voice is heard.
