Serving with Purpose: Honoring Scott’s Legacy Through Community

On February 28, 2026, 2 End The Stigma came together for a moment that was both deeply meaningful and rooted in love—our 3rd Annual Save A Life For Scott Dinner.

This date marked the 9th anniversary of losing Scott, and there was no better way to honor his life than by doing what he loved most: serving others.

At The Healing Place in Richmond, our team had the privilege of serving dinner to the men in the program—creating not just a meal, but a moment of connection, conversation, and compassion.

With the support of dedicated volunteers including Kaylyn Wood, Hallie Pence, Linda Zebrowski, Carter and Christian Cichowicz, and our Founder/CEO Jill Cichowicz, the evening was filled with purpose. From dinner and desserts to meaningful conversations, every detail reflected the heart of our mission.

A special thank you goes to Rick and Rosalba LoPresti for providing the catering. The impact was felt in the simplest, yet most powerful ways—shared meals, second servings, and genuine moments of connection.

Throughout the evening, we were able to talk about Scott, share his story, and continue spreading awareness about substance use disorder. These conversations are critical in breaking down stigma and reminding individuals that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

Events like this show us that real change doesn’t always happen on a stage—it happens in everyday acts of service, in showing up, and in building community.

Because when we come together, we create space for healing.

When we serve others, we carry forward a legacy.

And when we continue these conversations, we save lives.

All for Scott.
