Jill and Scott.jpg

Our history.

When Jill’s twin brother Scott died from fentanyl poisoning in 2017, Jill and her family channeled their grief into a mission to make his death mean something.  In particular, Jill began to tirelessly raise awareness and money to support initiatives that address addiction and that provide individuals and families with the help they need to embark on their journey to sobriety.

In 2019, Jill started a scholarship fund called “A Night For Scott.”  Since its inception, Jill has raised more than $100K in Scott’s memory.  Additionally, in both 2019 and 2020, “A Night For Scott” has been named Richmond’s best charity event.

In early 2021 Jill took the next step in bringing life to her vision of ending the stigma of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) by formalizing her work by starting a 501c3 nonprofit called

2 End the Stigma.

Our Mission

2 End The Stigma alleviates barriers to getting help for addiction.
